Mario Worthy has had a passion for dancing for many years. He started as a street hip hop dance rat at the age of 15 and was later introduced to jazz dance by a local dance instructor.
That new exciting challenge fueled his passion for dance and drove him to learn as many different styles as possible. Mario attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts where he trained diligently in ballet, modern, character, and contemporary. His credits include multiple roles in The Community Nutcracker as the Chinese dancer, the Russian dancer, and the soldier doll. He also made it to the final regional rounds of Fox’s hit show, “So You Think You Can Dance!” Mario spent many years in theatre dance but loved to spend most of his free time ballroom dancing. Having trained in ballroom for seven years, he is ready to spread his love and knowledge of ballroom and Latin dancing to as many people as possible.
Mario is the current program director for Tumbling Kids. It is a position he has had for the past seven years.
